アポロ11号

今日、7時のNHKニュースを見ていたら、アメリカの月探査衛星が撮った写真から、
昔の月探査のアポロ計画で月に降り立った機材や、宇宙飛行士が歩いた跡が
見つかったとのことでした。
今回撮られた写真は、アポロ12・14・17号の跡だったそうです。
なんでも、アポロ計画自体がハリウッドで撮影された作り物ではないか
などという疑惑もあったりするそうですが、まあ当然本当のことだったと
信じます。

そこで思い出したのが、1991年の発売当時から好きな曲の「Apollo XI」
という曲です。
イギリスのバンドのOMD（Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark）の曲です。
ジャンルはエレクトロポップとでも言いましょうか。

この曲は歌手が歌っているのではなく、サンプリングした人の声で
できています。
ケネディ大統領やニクソン大統領も出てきます。アームストロング船長の
有名なセリフも出てきます。

PVでもないかなあとユーチューブを検索してみたら、素晴らしい出来のものを
発見しました。公式のPVではなく、ユーザーの方が独自に製作したものの
ようです。

Fan Video 2のほうは、最初のケネディ大統領の演説を忠実に再現したもので、
曲の頭をカットした形ですね。

歌詞に合わせていろいろなシーンが切り替わるのが秀逸です。
ちょっと感動してしまいました。
